TUGS is a platform of Upper GI Surgeons from across the globe, probably one of its kind.
Hernia is a surgery that almost all surgeons have to do in their practice. Therefore, we have created a separate platform within the group dedicated to Hernia. TUGS Hernia is committed to research in this field under the leadership of Prof Todd Heniford.
At TUGS, with its presence in more than a 100 countries, we are committed to making a global impact in surgical practice.
The science of hernia is rapidly evolving and plenty of new concepts and procedures have been added recently. To ensure moving in the right direction, data needs to be accumulated at a global level. We are here to do just that. And a little more.
Our activities would also help colleagues around the world to stay updated with evidence based concepts and practices. Mentoring the younger surgeons is another area of focus.
Watch out for future workshops, symposia and observership programs that this organisation has to offer.
If you want to be a part of this giant wheel, join us!
